Helen Marie Brown, age 57, of Shannon, NC passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC on August 10, 1957 to the late James Franklin Britt and the late Betty Margaret Britt. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Britt. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Daniel Patricio of the home; a son, Lloyd Brown and special friend, Chastity McNeill of Shannon; a daughter, Melissa Brown Locklear and husband, Julius of Shannon; brothers, Allen Britt, Sr. and wife, Lisa, and Shane Britt, all of Lumberton; sisters, Sara Knight and husband, Ronald of Shannon and Marilyn Owens and husband, Henry of Stedman; and seven grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 11:oo AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.
