Helen Jane Barnes, age 58, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at her home. She was born in Robeson County on February 17, 1957 to the late Garland Bullard and the late Lizzie Revels. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Helen Marie Barnes, five brothers: J.L. Bullard, Joseph Revels, Wintford Bullard, Coleman Bullard, and William Bullard; three sisters, Lena Grimes, Regina Hatcher, and Diane Lowery; and one grandchild, Caitlin Barnes. She is survived by her husband, Durham Barnes of Lumberton, two sons: Durham Barnes, Jr. and wife, Melinda, of Lumberton and Christopher Barnes of Melissa, TX; one daughter, Clara Barnes of the home; three stepchildren: Dwight Hunt, Jessica Hunt, and Andrew Hunt; one sister, Lisa Bullard of Raynham, NC; seven grandchildren: Zachary, Cameron, Mason, Trinity, Connor, Brandis, and Kevin; and one great grandchild, Logan. A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 3:00 PM at Eastwood Holiness Church with Pastor Mark Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Back Swamp Full Gospel Holiness Church Cemetery of Raynham.
