Hazel Earlene Ward Woodell, age 91, of Laurinburg, NC died on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Century Care of Laurinburg, NC. Mrs. Woodell lived most of her life in Lumberton, NC. She was born on July 23, 1918 in Robeson County, NC to Pink Ward and Martene Cartwright Ward. She previously worked as a private duty nurse.

She is survived by two sons, Edward Woodell of Laurinburg, NC and Jerry Woodell of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Jeffrey McGirt of East Laurinburg Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
