Mrs. Hazel Inez Davis Jackson, age 90, of Lumberton, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on September 11, 1921 to the late William L. Davis and Eva Prevatte Davis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Jackson; one daughter, Rhonda and one son, Johnny.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her children, Miles Jackson of Shallotte, NC; R.C. Jackson of Lumberton, NC; Mary H. Pack of Louisville, KY; Thomas Jackson of Goldsboro, NC; Dianne Jernigan, who cared for her, of Lumberton, NC; Billy Jackson of Lumberton, NC; Lacy Jackson of Shallotte, NC; David Jackson of Portsmouth, VA; Ronnie Jackson of Concord, NC; Frank Jackson of Lumberton, NC and Jerry Jackson of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; three sisters, Margaret Stallings, Julia McLaurin and Colleen Lamb, all of Lumberton; two brothers, Watts Davis of Charlotte, NC and Bahnson Davis of South Carolina; 32 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 11:00AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Tommy Lewis and Rev. James Dobson officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
