Mr. Harry Lee Owen, 82, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021. Mr. Owen was born in Cumberland County, NC on May 26, 1939 to the late Herbert Paul Owen, Sr. and the late Dora Lee McDonald Owen. He grew up in St. Pauls, NC and later retired from Southern National Bank/BB&T after 37 years of service. He was also a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Britt Owen of the home; a son, Michael Lee Owen of Bladenboro, NC; two daughters, Cathy Owen Hunt (Ardean) of Lumberton, NC and Trudy Owen Maus (Marc) of Wilmington, NC; a stepdaughter, Michelle Morgan (Andy) of Lumberton, NC; a brother, Herbert Paul Owen, Jr. of Orlando, FL; a sister-in law, Brenda Prease (Hollis ) of Lumberton, NC; a brother-in-law, Dixon Britt, Jr. (Betty Karl) of Lumberton, NC; and three grandchildren: Maggie Maus, Carly Maus, and Josh Morgan.
In accordance with Mr. Owen's wishes, no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358.
