Harris "Buddy" Strickland, Jr., age 77, of Fairmont, NC, died Monday, January 29, 2024. He was born in Forsyth County, NC on May 9, 1946.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris "Hoss" Strickland, Sr. & Edith Hunt Strickland; his first wife, Wanda Strickland; four brothers: Rudolph Strickland, Allen Strickland, Larry Strickland, and Gerald Grayland "Cowboy" Strickland; and an infant twin sister.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Strickland of the home; his daughter, Deana Strickland of Fairmont, NC; his son, Jason Strickland (Sarah) of Lumberton, NC; his stepdaughter, Rita Faye Suarez (Frankie) of Lumberton, NC; three brothers: Braxton Strickland (Carolyn) of Rowland, NC, Ricky Strickland of Galt, CA, and Hal Strickland (Rose) of Fairmont, NC; five grandchildren: Jared (Jacinda), Ashlon (Chad), Harrison, Melissa, and Allen Blake; and a great-grandchild, Ryleigh Shea Demery.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5939 NC Hwy 130 E in Fairmont, NC with Bro. Mahlon K. Drayton officiating. Burial will follow at Lumbee Memorial Gardens, 774 Moss Neck Road in Lumberton, NC.
