Hal Fay Sellers, age 85, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022.

The family will be receiving visitors at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc. in Fairmont, NC on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, from 6-8pm and at other times at the home of Sandra and Glenn Pridgen at 12058 Golf Course Road in Fairmont, NC. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Fairmont, NC with Rev. Eddie Cox and Rev. Dean Carter officiating. Burial will immediately be following the service at Spring Hill Cemetery in Orrum, NC.

Hal Fay was born January 9, 1937 in Barnesville, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Annie Ruth, and his parents, Emmie and Rowdy Sellers. He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Alexander (Dale) of Graham, NC and Sandra Pridgen (Glenn) of Fairmont, NC; three grandchildren: Lauren Barnhill Matthews, Colton Barnhill, and Drew Alexander; four great-grandchildren: Ace, Easton, Kane, and Annelise; and his brother, Bertis Sellers of Wendell, NC.

Hal Fay retired from North Carolina DMV as a driver's license examiner. He loved his community and served it with much pride. He served on the Fairmont Town Board and the Fairmont Board of Education. He was a member of The Fairmont Shrine and the Fairmont Masonic Lodge #528 for over 50 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and a loyal friend to many.
