Guy Frank McCormick, age 81, of Fairmont, NC, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2022 . He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Elizabeth McCormick, and his parents, Guy and Edna McCormick.

He leaves behind to cherish wonderful memories of his BIG personality: Mary Kathryn Evans-McCormick and children: Sheila (Mike) Poligone of Knoxville, TN; Leslie (Nick) Evans of Marietta, NC; Guy (Christy) McCormick of Suwanee, GA; Charley (Amanda) McCormick of Leland, NC; and Patch (Kevin) Willoughby of Fairmont, NC; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and three sister s: Mickie McCormick, Susan Harrington, and Jennie Rose Davis .

Frank was beloved for always lighting up a room and was gifted with making everyone laugh and feel special. He served as President/Owner of Fairmont Gas Company, Inc., where he was fondly known as "Buck"; always ready to help a tobacco farmer with a barn call. He was passionate about Jesus and loved to sing His praises to the top of his lungs no matter the situation. He was also gifted with the ability to teach others about Jesus in a way anyone could understand. He served nationally and internationally with the NC Baptist Men Disaster Relief. His favorite past times were golfing at Fairmont Flag Tree and fishing. Most importantly he was known for having the biggest heart to match his larger-than-life personality. He was the best dad ever!

The family will greet visitors prior to the graveside service from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2022,  at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC. Following the visitation, his Celebration of Life will be held graveside at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, NC at 3:00 p.m .
