Gregory James Owens, age 77, of Lumberton, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at Lower Cape Fear Angel House in Whiteville.  He was born in Limestone County, Texas on October 21, 1948 to the late Fred Ural Owens and the late Susie Martin Owens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Owens.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela J. Owens, of the home and their children, Bradford James Owens of Jacksonville, NC and Phillip Martin Owens, of the home, and also Shane Walters (Jessica) and Wendy Walters, all of Lumberton; he is also survived by his three daughters from a previous marriage, Kelly Parsons (Berk) of Texas, Jami Schrock (Eddie) of Indian Trail, NC and Christina Seder (Don) of Dracula, GA; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Yorleny), Emily, Elijah, Timothy and Anna Lee and several great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026 from 2:00-4:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5thStreet, Lumberton.

Burial with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 10:00AM at Sandhills Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd., Springlake.
