Graddy McPhatter, age 81, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on June 10, 1932 to the late Ambrose and Nolie Rogers McPhatter. He previously worked as a service manager for Lowe's Home Improvement Store. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Anne Buffkin McPhatter; a son, Terry McPhatter; three brothers and two sisters. Mr. McPhatter is survived by a son, Christopher McPhatter and wife, Beverly of Lumberton; a daughter, Sherry McPhatter McKee and husband, Danny of Cary; a sister, Alice Foley of Pembroke; and three grandchildren, Brad McKee, Trent McKee, and Cameron McPhatter. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Brust officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
