Howard Graddy "Gradd" Floyd, age 60, of Fairmont, NC passed away Friday, August 6, 2022, at Holden Beach, NC. Gradd was born September 26, 1961.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Fay and Mary Hester Floyd; his father-in-law, Robert Fulton Simmons; and his mother-in-law, Janice Ivey Simmons.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Robbin Simmons Floyd; one son, Howard Graddy Floyd, Jr., both of Fairmont, NC; one sister, Harriette Floyd Lovin (Mack) of Lumberton, NC; one grandson, Caleb Hester Floyd of Lumberton, NC; three brothers-in-law: Ronald Simmons (Pam) and Donald Simmons, both of Fairmont, NC, and Jarrod Simmons (Joyce) of Lumberton, NC; one sister-in-law, Brenda Watts Simmons of Fairmont, NC; a special niece, Paula Simmons Stanland of Fairmont, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, NC with Pastor Brett Young presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org) or a charity of one's choice.
