Grace Livingston Stallings, age 96, longtime resident of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, December 15th. For the past eleven years, she resided at Wesley Pines Retirement Community, having previously lived for many years on Roslyn Drive.

Born November 4, 1929, to the late Reverend Bailey C. Lewis and Lewellyn Fussell Lewis, Grace was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Evelyn Woodard (Mose) and Ruth Bullard (Jerry), as well as her brother, Bill Lewis.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah McDorman (John) of Long Beach, California; and three grandchildren: Mandy Johnson of Long Beach, California, Jake McDorman of Los Angeles, California, and Morgan Grace McDorman of Long Island City, New York.

Grace graduated from Lumberton High School in 1947 and began her career with the Lumberton Medical Clinic, where she served as office manager for over forty years. Upon her retirement in 1995, she pursued her love of travel throughout the United States. She frequently traveled with a colleague and the Circuit Riders of Chestnut Street Methodist Church. As a devoted member of her church, she was dedicated to visiting elderly and homebound members of the community.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Wesley Pines Retirement Community. It will be followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Pines Retirement Community or Chestnut Street Methodist Church.
