Gloria C. Britt, age 89, of Fairmont, NC passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024 at her home surrounded by her children. She was a dedicated member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. She is remembered for her love of Jesus and her family.

She was born October 21, 1934 in San Diego, Texas to the late Joseph Castanon and the late Victoria R. Castanon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Monk" Britt; her son-in-law, Lindy Fonvielle.

She is survived by two sons, JoAnne Fonvielle of Fairmont, NC and Gail Johnson (Chip), of Cumming, GA.; two sons, Charlie Britt of Fairmont, NC and Danny Britt (Connie) of Providence Forge, VA.; six grandchildren, Blake Fonvielle (Lauren), Wesley Fonvielle (Samantha), Quinn Grizzle (Hayden), Ara Johnson, Austyn Britt (Krystal), and Libby Britt; four great-grandchildren, Makayla, Tatum, Tillie, and Reese.

Family will greet friends from 1:30-2:00 PM Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Bethesda United Methodist Church 4413 Leggett Road, Fairmont, NC.

A Memorial service will immediately follow in the church at 2:00 PM

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church.
