Mr. Glenn ??Wayne? Freeman, age 72, of Fairmont, NC, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on April 12, 1940 to the late James Bruce Freeman and Quessie Lamb Freeman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Freeman and his sister, Marlene Atkinson.

Mr. Freeman is survived by his wife, Carol Freeman, of the home; one son, Mike Freeman and wife, Elizabeth of Fort Wayne, IN; one daughter, Marsha Chappell and husband, Rex of Fairmont, NC; one brother, Worth Freeman and wife, Yvonne of Lumberton, NC; brother-in-law Charles Atkinson of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister, Katrina Townsend and husband, Hal of Florence, SC; two sister-in-laws, Linda Freeman and Myrtle Freeman, both of Fairmont, NC and five grandchildren, Will and Caroline Freeman and Austin, Patrick and Waylon Chappell.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday evening, May 13, 2012 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 2:00PM at Centerville Baptist Church in Lumberton with Rev. Ed Wilcox and Charles Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Lamb Family Cemetery in Fairmont.
