Mrs. Glendora Callahan Reynolds, 79, of Lumberton, NC, surrounded by family and loved ones, departed this life here on earth and entered her heavenly home on Saturday, February 4, 2023. She was born in Robeson County, NC on September 1, 1943 to the late Ertle & Sadie Callahan.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Earl Callahan, James Ray "Speedy" Callahan, Bruce Callahan, Moses Callahan, and Kenny Callahan; her sister, Elizabeth "Pat" Grice; and her grandson, Jeffery Reynolds.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Reynolds of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Ricky Callahan of the home and Randy Callahan of Lumberton, NC; two sisters: Faye Pate and Susan Hunt (Ricky), both of Lumberton, NC; and numerous extended family and special friends.

Glendora was a very loving and kind-hearted lady who loved the Lord, her family, and her friends. She was persistent in every aspect of life. Even through her long battle the past four years, she never lost her faith. To know Glendora was to love her. Glendora was like a mother hen to her community. She was a very devoted Christian and church member for well over 25 years.

Glendora loved to lend a helping hand to others. She also loved to pray for others, no matter if it was in church or in the middle of Wal-Mart. If you needed prayer, you could depend on her to pray for you. When she was able, she loved visiting the sick and being a light of encouragement to their day.

Glendora was a single mother who loved her daughter beyond measure and would do anything to make her happy. It was nothing to ride down Warwick Mill Road and see her sitting on the porch no matter the weather. Besides the house of the Lord, the porch was her favorite place to be.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Victory Christian Fellowship Church of God, 5501 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor Tim Holden and Pastor Sanford Chavis officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
