Mrs. Glenda Lawson Hinson, age 88, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on June 11, 1935 to the late Bracey & Mavis Walton Lawson.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Hinson; two sons, Mark Anthony Hinson and Charles Blades, Jr.; a daughter, Donna Kay Lindsay; three brothers: Tony Lawson, Jimmie Lawson, and Bobby "Snap" Lawson; two sisters, Judy Ivey and Sherry Lawson; and a grandson, Brian Lindsay.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Allen Hinson of Lumberton, NC; her daughter, Tina Hinson Smith (Tim) of Lumberton, NC; four grandchildren: Jamie Lindsay, Amanda McCormick (Charlie), Nicole Scott (Michael), and Lee Smith; 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Lawson (Mary) and Rocky Lawson, both of Lumberton, NC; and three sisters: Gloria Huggins and Wanda Sue Callahan, both of Lumberton, NC, and Beth Brown of Winston-Salem, NC.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Sand Hill Baptist Church, 2726 Pope's Crossing Road in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor Johnny Bruce officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
