Gladys Jeanette Rice, 86, of Lumberton, died May 16, 2021, at UNC Health Care in Lumberton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Oliver Horne and Viola Horne; and husband, Clarence Bracey Rice; and three brothers, Thomas Horne, JT Horne, and Henry Horne.

She is survived by a son, Lennie Rice of Lumberton; a daughter, Glenda Rice Ryan (Scott) of Lumberton; three nephews, Wayne Horne, Gary Horne, and David Horne; a grandson, Heath Turner (Marcia) of Lumberton; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Makenzi.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday May 19, 2021, at Gardens of Faith Mausoleum, the Rev. Chip Bass officiating.

A brief viewing will be after the graveside service and other times at the home, 2314 Collins Drive on May 18, 2021.
