Gladys Britt Berry, age 81, of Shallotte, NC, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. She was born in Lumberton, NC on April 16, 1942 to the late Clarence & Golder Mae Floyd Britt.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Victor Garrett; and her siblings: Alfred Britt, Neil Britt, Jerry Britt, Larry Britt, Ruth Miller, James "Toby" Walter Britt, and Janie Britt Jolly.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Berry of the home; her daughters: Marie Britt and husband Tony of Orrum, NC, Juanita Garrett Lancaster and companion Don Foster of Fayetteville, NC, and Lynn Royal and husband Harold of Grays Creek, NC; her stepsons, James Robert Berry, Jr. of Maine and Danny Berry of the home; her grandchildren: Donna J. Stone, Ronnie Victor Britt, Rhonda Clark, KennyRon Lancaster, Kasey Royal, and Arthur Taylor Lancaster; 7 great-grandchildren; her sister, Brenda Craycraft of Lumberton, NC; a special sister-in-law, Dorothy Britt; and a special niece, Pam Britt.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 11:00AM–12:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM with Rev. Bruce Suggs officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 N. Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
