Jennie Girlene Roberts, 79, of St. Pauls, NC, went home to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, November 26, 2022. Girlene was born on July 22, 1943 to the late John E. Kaukola and Beulah Parnell.

She graduated from Littlefield High School in 1961. Girlene was a longtime employee at Food World and later retired from Kerr Drug in St. Pauls, NC. She enjoyed singing in the choir at Antioch Baptist Church where she grew up and Ten Mile Baptist Church where she was a current member. She took great pride in tending to her flowers and her lawn. Girlene also found joy in her many travels. Her fascination with shoes is something her family constantly joked with her about. Family is something she was very proud of and loved greatly. She always made sure they knew how important they were to her.

Along with her parents, Girlene was preceded in death by one grandchild, Heather Britt.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Henry Thomas "Tom" Roberts of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Lewis and Sherry Klun (Scott), both of Lumberton, NC; her brother and sister, Ervin Kaukola (Karen) and Eunice Ward (Joe), both of Lumberton, NC; three sons: Mike Roberts and Carey Roberts, both of St. Pauls, NC, and Steve Roberts (Alecia) of Carolina Shores, NC; her grandchildren: Brooke Norton (Brad), Mallory Freeman (Jermey), Rebecca Pittman, and Samantha Pittman, all of Lumberton, NC, Chelsea Spaulding (Darrell) and Merissa Everette, both of Elizabethtown, NC, Holly Mask (Julian) of Roxboro, NC, Jordan Roberts (Kate) of Redrock, TX, Jamie Roberts of St Pauls, NC, Lauren Johnson (Luke) of Louisburg, NC, and Micheal Roberts (Catherine) of Mebane, NC; her great-grandchildren: Cambria, Bradleigh, Ella, Adalyn, Rhett, Harper, Oliver, Joshua, Mackenzie, Riley, and Abigail; and numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 1:00-3:00 PM at Ten Mile Baptist Church, 5176 Barker Ten Mile Road in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Dr. David McClellan officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
