Gerlene Walters Johnson, Leggett Rd, Fairmont ended her journey on earth Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Duke Medical Center in Durham. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont with Rev. Butch Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont Family will receive friends Monday, July 7, 2014 from 7:00- 8:30 pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. Ms. Johnson was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mullis F. and Allene Jenkins Walters, an infant son, David Olin Johnson. She is survived by two sons, Kelly F. Johnson of Little River, SC and Edward Randall (Randy) Johnson and wife Anne both of Rowland, NC; four grandchildren, Kelly Blake and Victoria Brooke Johnson both of Little River, SC; Edward Cameron and Salena Nicole Johnson both of Rowland, NC; one sister, Emma Gray Harward; a special niece, Paula Hufstetler.
