Geraldine "Jerri" Nance Evans, age 82, of Lumberton, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, at Duke University Hospital in Durham. She was born April 19, 1936 in Columbus County to the late Strange Nance and the late Marjorie Spivey Nance.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Kay Evans, and a brother, Dan Nance.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Ray Evans of the home; one son, Charles "Charlie" Ray Evans, Jr. and wife Dawn of Summerville, SC; three daughters: Debbie Evans of Lumberton, Beth Speerli and husband Randy of Wilmington, and Georgia Thomas and husband Tim of Lumberton; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Terry Nance of Chadbourn; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Nance of Whiteville.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 12:30-1:30 PM at West Lumberton Baptist Church.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Rick Foreman officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens.
