Mr. Gerald Monroe Walker, 64, of 219 Charmant Road, born July 28, 1951, was called home by God on June 16, 2016 after battling an extended illness. He was a loving husband, father, and friend to many in the community.

Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Betty J. Walker.

He is survived by his wife, Rose, of 42 years; 2 sons: Ash and Robert; his father Auty Walker; 1 sister Kathy Walker Yarborough; along with his mother- and father-in-law, Robert and Andre Strickland.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 20, 2016, from 6:30pm-8:30 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. to celebrate the life lived.
