Mr. George Clayton Wise age 85, of Fairmont passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.

He was born May 2, 1931 in Scotland County.

A visitation will be held Saturday May 7, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at First Baptist Church in Fairmont.

A Funeral service will be held Saturday May 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Fairmont with Rev. Eddie Cox and Johnny Surles officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Wise and Louise Wise.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Wilkerson Wise of the home; two sons, Joseph "Snuffy" Barfield Jr. and wife Carvicious of Barnesville, NC and Bobby Wise and wife Debbie of Raleigh, NC; one daughter, Arlene Wise of Clayton, NC; one brother, W.C. Wise of Odon, IN; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
