Mr. George Flantos, age 89, of Lumberton, went to be with his Heavenly father on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on August 7, 1931 to the late George Flantos and the late Sadie Britt Flantos Littles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Paul Flantos and two sisters, Jean Adams and Catherine Jolly.

Mr. Flantos is survived by his loving wife of seventy years, Ruth Flantos, of the home; three sons, George Flantos and William Flantos, both of Lumberton and Chris Flantos (Dawn) of Burlington, NC; three daughters, Kathy Waddell (Tommy), Marie Flantos and Shirley Marlow, all of Lumberton; one brother, Howard Flantos (Georgia) of Brunswick, GA; eleven grandchildren, Paul Flantos, Ashley Flantos, Jonathan Flantos, William Baker, Michael Flantos, Kelly Oxendine, Tosha Rogers, Nikki Sanderson, Willie Flantos, Johnny Marlow and Rebecca Fowler; many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held Monday, February 15, 2021 from 2:00-3:00PM at New Life Church in Lumberton.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 3:00PM with Rev. Tim Williford, Jr. and Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.
