Mr. Gary Wayne Edwards, age 76, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at his home. He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 8, 1947 to the late Annie Bert Edwards. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and he loved spending time at church and with family and friends. He especially loved his cat, "Tipsy".

Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Rowland Caulder, and his brother-in-law, Jerry Caulder.

He is survived by his lifelong companion and caretaker, Sherry Edwards; his son, Benjamin Edwards and wife Kelsey of Lumberton, NC; his granddaughter, Charlee Kay Edwards; his brother, Danny Rowland of Lumberton, NC; his sister, Ann Barnes and husband Ronald of Lumberton, NC; his sister-in-law, Kathy Baxley of Lumberton, NC; and, of course, his beloved fur baby, his cat, "Tipsy".

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 11:30AM – 12:00PM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 N. Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM.
