Gail Evon Biggins Horne, 65, of Fayetteville, received her wings Saturday, September 12, 2009 when she lost her battle with cancer. Gail was born in Lumberton, NC on May 17, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Thomas \\"Tom\\" Biggins and Janie Biggins of Lumberton, NC.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Thomas Richard \\"Dickie\\" Biggins, and sister, Mantha Eby. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Carl James \\"Jimmy\\" Horne, of Fayetteville, daughter and son-in-law Candace and Darrell Peters of Roseboro, and daughter, Michelle Horne of Fayetteville. She was the loving grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren that she cherished dearly, Anthony Winstead, Destiny Horne and Alexia Horne. She had a very good companion, friend and confidant in her sister-in-law, Mary Hutchins. She came to peace with her life when she joined her church family at Providence Baptist Church in Fayetteville.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Providence Baptist Church on Ireland Drive in Fayetteville with Rev. Robert Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
