Mr. Gadie "Smut" Grant age 70 of 539 Toogan Rd. Fairmont passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Woodhaven Nursing Home in Lumberton. A Graveside service will be held Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 2:30pm at Hillside Cemetery in Laurinburg, NC. Visitation will be Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 7-9pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. He was born October 18, 1943 in Robeson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Grant and Marzella Jacobs Grant; two brothers, Wendell and Jerry Allen Grant. Mr. Grant is survived by two brothers, Clearance Williamson, Jr. of Richland, NC, James Grant of the home, four sisters, Joe V. Ransom and Sarah Frances Williamson both of the home, Susie Eddings of Fairmont and Jean Locklear of Hoggtown, NC; two nephews, Ronnie Ransom of Arizona and Tommy Ransom of Lumberton.
