Fulton J. Willoughby, 89, of Lumberton passed away on February 10, 2014 at his residence. He was born on November 15, 1924 to the late John Q. and Mae Willoughby. He is survived by his wife, Mildred West Willoughby; two sons, Kenneth Willoughby and wife Ruby and Gene Willoughby and wife Barbara of Lumberton; four daughters, Verna Hanna, Cathie McDaniel, Marcella Welch and husband David all of Lumberton, and Rhonda Bowlin and husband Richard of Raleigh; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leslie Willoughby, and Curtis Willoughby and wife Jane of Lumberton; and one sister, Brenda Rouse of Fairmont. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Junior, Bill, Roland, and Henry; one sister, Jessie; and a beloved grandson, Shane Willoughby. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rodd Baxley and Rev. Teresa Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Willoughby Family Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
