Mrs. Fronia Mae Britt Freeman, age 88, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Glenflora Nursing Facility in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 2, 1931 to the late Gaston Columbus Britt and the late Fodia Taylor Britt. She was employed with Belk for many years before retiring.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ertle Max Freeman, and two brothers, James Gaston "Sonny Boy" Britt and Leon Columbus Britt.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Huggins (Paul) of Shallotte, NC and Jacqueline "Joy" Childress (Jeff) of Southern Pines, NC; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Floyd Memory Gardens with Rev. Robert Britt officiating.
