Frederick Vernie Hunt, 52, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016. He was born on July 12, 1964 in Highlands County, FL. He was formerly employed with McNeill's Roofing Co.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Ruth Hunt.

He is survived by his father, J.W. Bryant of Maxton; two sons: Derrick Howren and wife Hannah of Cartersville, GA and Terrick Hunt of Calhoun, GA; his step-father, Larry Jones of the home; one brother, Glenn Hunt of Kingston, GA; three sisters: Catherin Hunt, Vickie Hunt and husband Larry, and Sarah Lynn Fricks, all of Lumberton; five grandchildren: Cameron Howren, Carson Howren, Felicia Howren, Derrick Howren, Jr. & Warren Howren; and special frends: Ariana Hunt, Jonathan Hunt, Erica Judy Hunt, Jermain Hunt, Latisha Hunt, and Brad Hunt.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Riverside Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry McNeill officiating.

The family will receive friends following the visitation at the church or other times at the home of Vickie & Larry Hunt, 5869 Hwy 211 E. in Lumberton.
