Mr. Fred William Scott, 69, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Southeastern Hospice House of Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on February 5, 1944. He is survived by his wife, Therley Mae Locklear Scott, of the home; three sons, Clarence Scott, of Lumberton, James Scott, also of Lumberton, and Alton Scott, of Rowland; three daughters, Mary Scott, Penny Pittman, and Carrie Newberry, all of Lumberton; two brothers, Danny Scott, of England, and Carl Scott, of Lumberton; one sister, Margie Prescott, of Holden Beach; seventeen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
