Franklin Delinor Ivey, age 81, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on January 26, 1934 to the late Rembert and Mary Rogers Ivey. He was a veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division and a member of the 1st Jump School at Ft. Bragg. He previously worked as manager for Pates Wholesale. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Charles Ivey and Jerry Ivey. Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife, Vicki Sue Ivey of the home; a son, John Paul Ivey of Lumberton; daughters, Cindy Ivey (Jerry) of Lumberton, and Lynn Hedgpeth (Vic) of Supply; a brother, Harold Ivey of Lumberton; a sister, Bobbie Jo Hayes of Gastonia; grandchildren, Nicole Barker, Makenze Ivey, Meagan Lassiter, Jason Ivey, Jamie McMahan, and Jonathan Hedgpeth; and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery with Rev. David Hawes officiating. A time for visitation will be held following the service at the graveside and at other times at the home of Cindy and Jerry Ivey and the home of Vicki Sue Ivey.
