Franklin Knox Cox, 68, of Orrum, NC, died Saturday, August 7, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Waddell, Sr. and Ruby Lamb Waddell, and a sister, Iva Collins.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Cox of the home; a son, Frankie Cox II of the home; a daughter, Carol Lynn McDonald (Shock) of Lumberton, NC; a step-daughter, Amy McKeithan (Matthew Thompson) of Tar Heel, NC; three brothers: Bill Cox (Lorena) of Carthage, NC, Wayne Cox of Lumberton, NC, and Hubert Waddell (Rene) of Sunset Beach, NC; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC with Dr. Jeff Blackburn officiating. The visitation will follow at the graveside.
