Mrs. Frances Watson Prevatt Tisdale, age 93, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020, at Wesley Pines Retirement Community in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Hoke County, NC on February 13, 1927 to the late George Watson and the late Etta Redding Watson. She retired after many years as a nurse at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Luther Prevatt, Jr.; her husband, James Tisdale; two brothers, George Watson and Archie Watson; and two sisters, Ruth Howell and Rosa Cooper.

She is survived by three sons: Luther J. Prevatt III and wife Betty of Lumberton, NC, Frank W. Prevatt and husband Gary McLamb of Clearwater, FL, and John F. Prevatt and wife Ella of Lumberton, NC; four grandchildren: Luke, Paul, Josh, and Paisley Prevatt; and a sister, Effie Lee Williams of Wilmington, NC.

A private graveside service will be held at Meadowbrook Cemetery with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating.
