Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Fran or as her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as Memom, devoted herself to family, church and community. A love of gardening brought out in the beauty of flowers thoughout the year, added color to her yard and the neighborhood. She shared this interest with friends and family, who inherited bulbs, seeds and cuttings from many of her flowers and shrubs. There was hardly a time during the year when she did not have fresh flowers in her home.
She attended West Georgia College the University of Georgia, and Pembroke State College (UNCP) where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. It was her love of children that guided her to pursue a teaching degree.
