Frances Rogers Gause, age 78, of Lumberton, NC passed away Friday, June 27, 2025.

Frances was born on May 27, 1947 in Columbus County to the late William "Bill" and Maybell Williamson Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Louis C. Gause; her brothers Robert, Tommy Gene, Roy and Pee Wee Rogers; her older sister Shirley Oliver and longtime companion James "Jimmy" Smith.

She leaves behind her daughters, Lisa Gause and Amanda G. Kaukola (John); sister, Doris Taylor; grandchildren, Adam and Justin Branch, Trey (Jessica), Caleb (Meghan) and Sarah Kaukola; great-grandchildren, Sadie and Hudson and her furry friend, Hercules -- all whom she loved dearly.

Frances served as an emergency dispatcher for The City of Lumberton for decades.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, June 30, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Antioch Baptist Church Building Fund.
