Frances Hendren Edwards, age 83, of Lumberton, NC, died on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.  She was born in Robeson County, NC, on July 18, 1933, to the late Arthur Lee and Cora Britt Hendren.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Edwards is survived by her son, Jonathan Edwards of Lumberton; daughters, Lynne E. Young (Bill) of Sneads Ferry, Karen E. Cox (Jameson) of Wolf Laurel, Georgia E. Muratore (Joe) of Taylors, SC, and Pamela E. Butler (Charles) of Cary; sister, Kathleen Scarboro of Lumberton; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at 1:00 PM at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Dr. Norman Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery.  A time of visitation with the family will follow the burial at the graveside.
