Frances Prevatte Britt, 85, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Woodhaven Nursing Facility after an extended illness. She was born in Robeson County, NC on November 8, 1937 to the late Wade & Voline Prevatte. She married the love of her life, Wayne Britt, on April 25, 1974. She retired from BB&T after 28 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School for numerous years at her home church, Mt. Elim Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Treva Smith, and her nephew, Jay Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Wayne Britt of the home; her sister, Pat Nobles; her brother-in-law, Charles Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Mt. Elim Baptist Church, 645 N. Creek Road in Orrum, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor James Graham officiating.

Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
