Ms. Frances McKee Barnes age 90 of Summerville, SC and formerly of Orrum, NC passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Summerville, SC.

A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00AM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont.

Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 10:00-11:00AM, prior to the service at Floyd Funeral Services.

Ms. Barnes was born January 11, 1926 in Clarkton, NC the daughter of David Baxter McKee and Correna Shaw McKee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Forester Milton Barnes and her brother, D.B. McKee.

Mrs. Barnes was a member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church where she served many years as a Youth Sunday School Teacher and on various church committees. She was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband in his business, Foresters Men's Wear and Foresters Fish Bait.

Mrs. Barnes is survived by two daughters, Dianne Barnes Davis and husband Steve of Lumberton, and Rachel Barnes Altman and husband Jim of Summerville, SC; two grandchildren, Kristopher Altman and wife Jessica of James Island, SC, Rebecca Altman of West Ashley, SC; one great granddaughter, Caroline Altman of James Island, SC; a host of other relatives, friends and extended family at Magnolia Assisted Living of Summerville, SC.
