Frances Taylor Bailey, 84, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Whiteville, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 7, 1940 to the late Homer and Rosa Downing Taylor.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Bailey; her sons, infant Paul Bailey and James Edward Bailey; and siblings: Rosa Lee McLean, Margie Johnson, Richard Taylor, Billy Ray Taylor, and Annette Hendrix.

Frances had a wonderful smile and loved people, especially her family. She was a fan of good comedy shows, she loved to laugh.

She is survived by her son, Anthony Lee Bailey (Catrina) of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren: Joshua Bailey (Megan), Courtney Bailey, Draper Bailey (Brittany), Kelsey Pittman (Anthony), and Hayden Bailey, all of Lumberton, NC; eight great-grandchildren: James, Jackson, Jesse, Logan, Gatlin, Holden, Konnor, and Kiyanna; and sisters, Patricia Campbell and Velma Davis (Mac), both of Bladenboro; and her sister in law, Kaye Brady of Franklinville, NC

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road, Lumberton, NC, with Pastor Mark Meadows officiating.
