Frances Nenzel Ash, age 99, died on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Wesley Pines Retirement Community.  She was born in Richmond, VA to the late Charles B. and Louise Traylor Nenzel.  She was a teacher and principal in the VA Public School System.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Phillip Ash; and sons, Roy Phillip Ash, Jr. and Charles William Ash.

Mrs. Ash is survived by a son Andrew Ash of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Noah Benjamin Ash, Timothy Charles Marshall Ash, Ray Phillip Ash III, and Carly Patricia Snapp; and great-grandchildren, Charles Gray Snapp and Emilia Frances Snapp.
