Mr. Gary Foster Allen, Sr., 80, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at his home. He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 13, 1941 to the late Woodrow Allen and the late Ethel Baxley Allen. He worked many years for the Robeson County Dept. of Parks & Recreation until retirement.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Allen, and two brothers, Herman Allen and William "Bill" Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Allen of the home; a son, Gary Allen, Jr. of Lumberton, NC; a daughter, Bobbie Allen of Lumberton, NC; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; an adopted son, Larry Cox of Lumberton, NC; 5 brothers: Larry Allen, Russell Allen (Barbara), Knox Allen, Vernon Allen (Gail), all of Lumberton, NC, and Walter Murray (Patricia) of Kansas City, KS; and a whole host of nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Community Home Care & Hospice for all their care and compassion during this time. We greatly appreciate every one of you.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Foster & Judy Allen Family Cemetery, 738 Turnpike Road in Lumberton, NC.
