Mrs. Flora Jean Barnes Evans, age 87, of Lumberton, NC, formerly of Barnesville, NC, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021. She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 23, 1933 to the late Frank & Emma Barnes. She was an active member of Good News Baptist Church in Bladenboro, NC and she worked many years for Kendall-Gerber Children's Wear and Ann Mae's in Downtown Lumberton, NC.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her children, Dannie Anderson and wife Betty and Linda Rogers and husband Rodney; along with 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Emma Clemmons and Nettie Moore.

A service will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Gardens of Faith Mausoleum in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Larry Hayes officiating.
