Fentrice Rhodes, 73, of 1489 Proctorville Church Road, died July 14, 2011, at Duke University Medical Center.

The funeral will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at Proctorville Baptist Church, the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Proctorville Baptist Church Cemetery.

He worked 35 years for Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He selflessly touched and assisted in the lives of many and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by parents, Alexander and Etta Hardin Rhodes; three brothers, Wayne Rhodes, Neulon Rhodes, and Lenox Rhodes; and a sister, Marjalene Horne.Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Patricia Rhodes of the home; two daughters, Sandra Rhodes Stone and husband Jon, both of Wilmington and Karen Rhodes Sealey and husband Richard Alan, both of Fayetteville; a brother, Jack Rhodes of Kinston; three sisters, Ruth Ratley of Fayetteville, Neta Brewer and Ann Driggers, both of Proctorville; and four grandchildren, Jessica Stone, Jonathan Stone, Abby Stone and Alana Sealey.
