Faye Blanchard Herndon, age 69, of Bladenboro, NC died at her residence on Wednesday, January 20, 2010. She was born on February 29, 1940 in Durham County, NC to Charlie Blanchard and Connie Huff Blanchard. She was a medical secretary for Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Charlotte Blanchard.

Mrs. Herndon is survived by Thomas Herndon of the home; two daughters, Apryll Stanley and husband Kenneth of Bladenboro, NC and Harriet Williams of Raeford, NC; one brother, Connie Huff (Butch) Blanchard of Durham, NC; one sister, Cathie Hamlett of Asheville, NC; life long friends, George and Neta Rose Stephens; two beloved pets, Kosmo and Deedee; four grandchildren, Thomas James (TJay) Stanley and wife Katrina, Tina Stanley, Joey Stanley and Samantha Williams; and eight great-granchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Janueary 23, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton. Burial will follow in the Stanley Family Cemetery in Bladenboro, NC.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30-3:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
