Evelyn Lewter Munns, age 86, died on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  She was born in Wake County, NC on January 5, 1930 to the late Louis Vestar Lewter and Beatrice Woods Lewter.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Munns is survived by her husband of 67 years, W.B. "Buck" Munns, Jr. of the home; sons, Walter Louis Munns of Sharon, SC and Chris Munns of Lumberton; sisters Gwen Long of Rockingham and Deloris Clifton of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Lauren Munns Pittman of Wendell, Christina Jean Munns of Texas, and Kristen Munns of Charlotte; and one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Dunn.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton.  Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery.  There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
