Mrs. Evelyn Louise Lewis, age 88, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on September 7, 1937 to the late Lester & Nollie C. Musselwhite.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lewis; three brothers: Elmer Musselwhite, Bobby Musselwhite, and Jimmy Musselwhite; and five sisters: Blanche Walters, Quessie Sanderson, Mildred Wilkerson, Eva Daniels, and Pearlene Newton.

She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Branch (John); her grandchildren, John R. Branch (Kayla) and Jonathan Branch; and her great-grandchildren: Caden, Katie, Aubrey, and Kylie.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. Jerel Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC 28358.
