Evelyn Becky Hill, age 100, of Fairmont, NC passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at UNC Southeastern Regional Medical Center, Lumberton.

Evelyn was born in Robeson County on January 29, 1925 to Kenneth Burney and Martha Benton Burney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Meredith Hill, sisters; Lonia Rogers, Lois Tidwell, Myrtle Wells, Sadie Deaver, brothers; David Earl Burney, Clyde Burney, and son; Edward Ray Burney.

Evelyn enjoyed relaxing at home on the porch. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters; Brenda Diane Andrews (Lawrence), Judy Carol West, Kathy Yvonne Burney, Cynthia K. Floyd (Lester), Shirrel Lynne Bodiford (Steven), Teresa Ann Floyd, Lisa Vana Britt, Pamela Denise Lashley (Michael), son; Terry Wayne Hill (Betty), 27 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren,

A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358. A Funeral Service will be held following the visitation at 2:00 pm at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC 28358. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery, Lumberton, NC.

The family will be receiving friends at the home.
