Evelene Freeman Hardin, 82, of Lumberton, died Sunday September 19, 2021, at Woodhaven Nursing Facility in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC on June 9, 1939. She was a graduate of Orrum High School and she was formerly a longtime employee of Gerber's Children's Wear. She was also a life time member and Sunday School teacher at Long Branch Full Gospel Holiness Church.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Florence Freeman, and her husband, Willie Graham "Buddy" Hardin.

She is survived by two sons, Graham Keith Hardin (Kimberly Speer) and Randy Kelvin Hardin (Lisa), all of Lumberton, NC; a daughter, Joy Davidson of Lumberton, NC; and five grandchildren: Travis Hardin (Jesse), William Hardin, Ben Hardin, Ryan Prevatte, and Christina Prevatte.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Sr. and Rev. Russell Kinlaw, Jr. officiating. The visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.
