Eva Willoughby Bowen, 95, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Southeastern Hospice House of Lumberton. She was born on January 9, 1919 in Dillon, SC. Along with her parents, Eva was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Livingston Bowen, three brothers, Ernest, Fred, and Yates Willoughby; two sisters, Annabelle Willoughby and Bernice W. Barnes. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Bowen and wife, Jeanette, of Clinton, TN, and Ralph Bowen, Sr. and wife, Beth, of Lumberton; two granddaughters, Lori Worthing and husband, David, of Middletown, PA, and Lee Bowen Muckenfuss and husband, Mike, of Ash, NC; three grandsons, Michael Bowen and wife, Allison, of Kernersville, Scott Bowen and wife, Dena, of Cary, and Ralph Bowen, Jr. and wife, Teresa, of Clayton; three brothers, Wilber, Braxton, and Furman Willoughby; a special sister-in-law, Lillian B. Davis, of Pinehurst; and a host of family and friends. Anyone wishing to honor Eva's memory may do so by setting an example for others of faith, tolerance, generosity, and love.
